Whistler - Peak to the Creek

Marchwick's Fly By... Snow was prefect on this part of the mountain, on this day, at this time :)

This place is FUN!  Everywhere you look there is another new area to ride! When you can see, that is:)
The conditions change frequently on these mountains. Everyday some part of the mountain got a couple of inches of snow, you just need to go find it.

Howard cruses down the Glacier

Whistler Mountain Lodge... It was nice in the sun that day.. I had a slight injury to my "hip flexor" and need a T3 with a couple of beers, I was back in action.
Marchwick would switch to Evil Chris when he wore his black coat. Good Chris and Evil are picking very different lines down Symphony Bowl.

The Peak to Creek runs is just like it sounds, from the top of Whistler Peak to the Creek side village below. 5000 vertical feet in just under an hour of straight down riding! Snow conditions weather conditions always changing.  So we start in light fluffy powder transition into icy area then end in velvety slush that is easy to ride.

Marchwick is following me with his helmet cam. (which he broke off, and we had to re engineer on the fly with duck tape) It's a higher quality video so I can only upload short periods of time. The lower quality video is take from my Droid.

Marchwick on top of a cornice. Which he drops off nicely. I took the lower right side at a pretty good chip, and didn't really know how big it was.:) The snow was just perfect here in the back bowls of Whistler.

A slightly shorter version on the Peak to Creek run, is a 3 mile lap drops about 4000 vertical feet down to the Big Red high speed quad, ride that up. Then you bomb the short traverse to the Peak Chair and your back on top in 20 min. The temperature will change about 30+ degrees during the lap. About a 1 hour total lap time

Chris Howard, the man who will tear up any icy mogul run has some reservations about the 8 man gondola Peak to Peak tram.
